Sr, Technical Program Manager (Test Engineering)

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and support all Test Engineering milestones by driving alignment across design, validation, and manufacturing teams to ensure timely delivery of test plans, equipment readiness, and validation coverage.  

  • Oversee progress of key test deliverables including test plan definition, fixture and equipment development, software validation, and factory bring-up. 

  • Partner closely with Test Engineering leads to remove roadblocks, manage dependencies, and ensure test readiness aligns with overall program build schedules and quality targets. 

  • Manage cross-functional teams including test engineering, design engineering, product development, quality, and manufacturing to drive successful validation and product readiness milestones. 

  • Lead the planning and execution of system, integration, and end-to-end validation programs to ensure all test timelines, scope, and quality commitments are met.  

  • Coordinate and communicate program and test status with executives, partners, and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring transparency, risk visibility, and timely decision-making. 

  • Drive test material readiness by collaborating with supply chain, materials planning, and quality teams to ensure component availability and manage test-related risks.  

  • Provide direction to test engineers, validation leads, and cross-functional partners to align on test priorities, requirements, risks, and schedules. 

  • Lead definition of product validation requirements in partnership with engineering and quality teams to establish test scope, roadmap, and resource needs. 

  • Monitor and drive efficiency and cost optimization across validation activities by collaborating with test engineering, supply chain, and operations teams. 

  • Support the development and continuous improvement of test and program management processes to enable efficient, repeatable, and scalable validation execution. 

  • Identify and escalate program and test risks by defining mitigation plans, evaluating trade-offs, and ensuring proactive actions are taken to minimize schedule or quality impact. 

Qualifications:  

  • Technical degree or equivalent experience in electrical power products 

  • 5+ years' experience in a mix of program management and engineering fields with evidence showing an exceptional ability to manage multiple complex projects / programs simultaneously.  

  • Demonstrated ability to work and lead cross functionally by managing large teams / projects. 

  • Exceptionally strong communication skills that demonstrate an ability to communicate visually verbally and in writing to both technical and non-technical team members  

  • Experience working in an engineering organization focused on electrical systems, power electronics, or other similar products in a manufacturing / production environment. 

  • Ability to work well under pressure while simultaneously managing competing priorities, challenges and risks.  Effective response to adapt to these competing priorities, risks, and program changes as needed and quickly.  

  • Excellent written and verbal communications in English with all stakeholders 

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% including internationally
