Responsibilities:
Lead design, implementation, and optimization of firmware for embedded Linux systems, ensuring it meets functional and performance requirements
Participate in and lead code reviews to maintain code quality and adhere to coding standards
Identify, debug, and resolve software issues, optimizing code for size, speed, and power efficiency
Work closely with hardware teams to integrate firmware with new or existing hardware components
Write and execute unit tests, participate in integration testing, and support system-level testing
Maintain and update technical documentation including design specifications, code comments, and user manuals
Work with other engineers to solve complex problems, share knowledge, and ensure project milestones are met
Stay updated with new technologies, tools, and methodologies in embedded systems
Qualifications:
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, etc. with 3+ years of professional experience or combined equivalent experience with evidence of exceptional ability
Experience with embedded Linux development systems such as Petalinux, Yocto, buildroot, etc.
Hands on experience with various microcontroller platforms and multicore architectures
Proficiency in C, C++, or similar language for embedded systems
Understanding of low-level programming and hardware interfacing
Experience with one or more IDEs and debugging tools
Experience with version control systems like Git
Knowledge of real-time programming concepts and real-time operating systems
Ability to write efficient code under resource constraints (memory, CPU, flash)
Experience with embedded system testing practices
Basic knowledge of digital and analog electronics
Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% including internationally
Excellent written and verbal communications in English
